Welcome

Welcome to The Indie Antechamber, the music discovery and listening blog created by Joe Wierzbicki. A majority of the blog posts will be interactive reviews on new albums.  Each blog post will have a brief synopsis of the music followed by an embedded media player.  The ability to encapsulate music and express it merely in text format is quite limited.  Therefore having direct audio contact with the music will help the reader get the entire experience and formulate their own opinion for free! Thank you for taking time to visit this blog and I hope something here will grab your musical attention.

This page will cover some basics to help you navigate through the site.


Labels

Each post on the site will have a set of labels. These labels help differentiate and organize my posts, in which each label will be based on music style and type of post. To easily navigate through a label, find the Labels section on the left side of the homepage. The labels section currently only shows these type of post labels*:

• "Indie" Approved- a post that I find most resembles and appeals to fans of "Indie" music
• High Rotation- a post that I find listening to constantly
• Random- a post that might not have one specific artist/genre; post that has some random connection to music
• Video- a post that has a YouTube clip or other embedded video
• Concerts- a post that describes a concert I attended

*As the Indie Antechamber grows, new labels will surface and labels are bound to change.  Please refer to this page for any changes to the labels.


As I mentioned before, these are not all of the labels.  The music style labels will not be displayed under the  labels section.  However, you can find these music style and any other labels at the bottom of every post and clicking them loads a page with every post containing that label.  There will also be a search bar in the future in which you can search for labels.    

Music Goodies

This section displays the 5 most recent posts published on the site.  This is a useful reference for returning users wanting to know the most recent posts without having to scroll down the page.  Being someone who can get easily distracted, I am bound to leave this blog untouched for an extended period of time.  The Music Goodies section is a useful tool to discover whether the Antechamber is in temporary limbo.

Blog Archive

The blog archive has every Indie Antechamber blog post in existence.  Reference this section is you want to aimlessly meander through the blog posts.  This will become a more useful tool as more posts and years of great music are published.
